This model set is designed to help institutions establish financial regulations
that will set out the financial policies of the institution and in turn secure
their grant funding. It complements CIPFA’s first published model set
of regulations for further and higher education, printed in 1995, and has been
fully revised to reflect current best practice. This latest edition includes
new sections on topical issues such as the use of institution credit cards
and whistle blowing. It covers three principle types of institution –
‘old’universities, ‘new’universities/colleges of higher
education and further education institutions. Any differences in financial regulation between these types of
institution are clearly marked.
