This Report is based on a PMPA/CIPFA in Scotland lecture delivered on 30 March 2006 in the Scottish Parliament.
Devolution has produced differences in the organization and delivery of key public services in different parts of the UK. This Report describes the effects that devolution has had on the public services performance regime in Scotland. It explains what needs to be done to further improve the quality and value of public services in Scotland and what the lessons are for the rest of the UK.
